Préparation

Preparation

Gâteau aux bananes

  1. Préchauffer le four à 350 °F (180 °C). Beurrer un moule carré de 20 × 20 cm (8 × 8 po) et réserver.

Banana Cake

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 °F (180 °C). Grease an 8 × 8-inch (20 × 20 cm) square baking pan and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the margarine with the granulated sugar and brown sugar until creamy.
  3. Add the mashed bananas, egg and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for approximately 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely before frosting.

Cream Fudge Frosting

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the margarine and Laura Secord cream fudge pieces for approximately 30 seconds. Stir, then continue heating in short intervals as needed until melted and smooth.
  2. Gradually mix in the icing sugar and vanilla extract. Add a little milk as needed to achieve a smooth, spreadable frosting.
  3. Spread the frosting over the completely cooled cake. Garnish with pieces of Laura Secord cream fudge and chopped walnuts, if desired.
